History

Birchmere FC was formed in 1997 to help bring football back into the community.
Up until the 2003 - 2004 season there were 2 teams (under 11's and under 13's), both in the Bexley league. Due to managers leaving there is currently only 1 team in the Bexley league, but we as a club are trying to get 2 - 3 new teams started in the league for next season. This will hopefully be under 13's, under 14's and under 17's. For the season after we will try to get another team in the Bexley league for under 12's. with 3/4 teams in the league this would give us about 50 boys playing football on Sundays, giving Birchmere FC a good standard of football so junior football can play a big part in the community, and hopefully lead some players onto bigger and better things. This cannot be done without the help of company's and individuals playing their part in sponsoring and managing the team.

Birchmere FC have now been promoted twice in 2 succesive seasons, winning the Bexley C League East in the 2005-2006 Season, and runners up in the Bexley B League East 2006 - 2007. We have an outstanding record of not losing a single game away since September 2005 and our biggest League win was a 13 - 0 victory over Phoenix Sports Royals.
